gvwireFour hundred students and their teachers will learn how to improve their skills at the third annual Fresno City College Journalism Conference on Friday.
All of the presenters are local professional journalists, media experts, or instructors. They will cover all aspects of print, broadcasting and web news gathering during 40 workshops in the college’s Old Administration Building.
Some of the topics that will be covered include fake news, creating news stories for radio and television, the First Amendment, recognizing stereotyping and bias, social media news-telling and investigative reporting.
The event is sponsored by GV Wire, the Fresno County Department of Health, the Fresno City College Journalism Advisory Board, and the Fresno City College Public Information Office.
